Filmmaker, Editor and Writer
Representing Animals Foundation and University of Winchester (part-time, 2014 - present):

Filming, sourcing footage, and editing a comprehensive series of over 50 educational videos for both the public and students of Animal Welfare at Winchester; many of the videos are viewable here. Also edited related videos for Inholland, Murdoch and Griffith universities as well as New Zealand Animal Law Association, and filmed conferences for the Progressive Veterinary Association and the Professional Association of Canine Trainers.

Edited the videos of speakers’ talks for Winchester's Animal Welfare symposiums, including renowned primatologist Dr Jane Goodall DBE, sourced images and videos for e-learning modules, and was the researcher for an award-nominated e-learning study and paper in the Journal of Veterinary Medical Education.

Co-wrote, filmed and edited short films on different kinds of harassment, for use by Winchester's Law Department; viewable here.

First video producer for community interest company Autek, creating interactive 360° virtual tours, point-of-view videos and informational videos for What's It Like?, an initiative to help people with anxiety, autism and other disabilities to access the places they want to.

Script editing, filming and video editing for clients including Solent NHS Trust, Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance, Portsmouth Football Club, Gunwharf Quays, Hampshire Cricket Board, University of Southampton and Plymouth Active.

Co-producer, director and editor of What's My Anxiety?, a feature-length documentary featuring eight disabled and neurodivergent young people's perspectives on living with anxiety.

Autism Hampshire, Fareham (part-time, 2016 - 2019):

Periods of work for Hampshire's leading autism charity – creating a video highlighting the findings of their consultation into health services (alongside Healthwatch Hampshire) through interviews with autistic people, a promotional video for their Serendipity adult social groups, a set of e-learning videos about autism, and a series about autistic artists, as well as writing the script for an animation about their Spectra5 Autism Assistant App.

Ordnance Survey, Southampton (part-time, 2012 - 2015):

Filmed and edited over 20 videos of GeoVation Challenge events and interviews in Southampton, Cardiff (Welsh Government), London and Birmingham, for the Press Office and GeoVation team. Most were posted on the Ordnance Survey YouTube channel. One of these was shown to the UK Cabinet Office in a bid for funding.

Filmed and edited the induction video for all new Ordnance Survey employees, an event at London's Google Campus, and a video showing how Custom Made maps are created.

Researched Oliver! creator Lionel Bart, for Professor Taylor’s conference paper and chapter, ‘Lionel Bart: British Vernacular Musical Theatre’, of The Oxford Handbook of the British Musical (2017).

Black For A Cause (May - June 2017, July 2020):

Edited this 20-minute documentary film, directed by BAFTA award winner Stephen S. Thompson, about a civil rights activist who fought for 40 years to clear his name of a crime he didn't commit. It has been part of the official selection for British Urban Film Festival, Winchester Short Film Festival and Ottawa's Mirror Mountain Film Festival.

Provided footage from this project for use in the BBC film Black Power: A British Story of Resistance (2021).

Responsible for the website, social media, and marketing materials for shows. Promoted sold-out performances of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead and The Eight: Reindeer Monologues at Theatre Royal Winchester, and Boys at The Railway Inn. Also made videos for Halloween productions, a profitable Indiegogo campaign, and a jazz evening, and served as a lighting technician for their production of Seven Santas at Winchester Discovery Centre.

Took the official photos of talks, gatherings and courses for the Festival website – including author Jasper Fforde and Writers’ & Artists’ Yearbook editor Alysoun Owen. Also took on roles filming a talk by author Bridget Holding, and assisting Everest summiteer Matt Dickinson with his presentation at the festival dinner.
